New version a hit with US car buyers

There was a huge double win for Porsche in the USA when it came out top in two recent surveys, according to a recent report on the Yahoo finance website.

The article refers to the J.D. Power Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) survey, in which the Porsche brand was rated “highest among all automotive brands”.

The survey’s purpose is to “measures owners’ emotional attachment and level of excitement with their new vehicle”, over a total of seventy seven categories. Examples given included the luxurious feel of the vehicle and the power felt when accelerating.

This is the survey’s twenty fourth year, and is the result of data gathered from nearly 68,000 vehicles buyers and lessees says the article.

Another Cayenne win!

More good news for Porsche came with the announcement that the Cayenne scooped top position in the Midsize Premium SUV category – the third year in a row that a Cayenne has been victorious, with this being the first for the new third generation version.
